FFB Oilboom is a lightweight rapid response boom that is ideal for operations in ports, harbours, inland and coastal waters - where a quick response is required. FFB Oilboom incorporates symmetrical closed cell foam floats that allow the boom to either be wound up onto boom reels or packed into racks and containers. FFB Oilboom is very simple to deploy and can be used without any special ancillary equipment. FFB Oilboom is manufactured in bright orange PVC / coated woven polyester. Handles are provided approximately every two meter along the top of the boom. The smooth profile of the FFB Oilboom facilitates cleaning after use in an oil spill. The external fiberglass rods ensure the skirt remains upright.
